The course aims to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in leaders and how they can also promote these in their teams. Critical thinking and problem-solving are essential skills to handle complexity and to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the organisation.

Target Audience

All types of managers, team leaders, and project managers who work with problem-solving, change, and process optimisation in an organisation.

Training Content

Solve the right problem:

• Learn about the importance, dimensions, and potential biases in critical thinking.
• Identify and articulate the main problem to ensure the right issues are addressed using methods such as:
  • The 5 Whys Method
  • Cause-and-Effect Diagram
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Problem Definition

Solve the problem right:

• Develop analytical and creative skills to achieve innovative, sustainable solutions.
• Identify the right approach for the right problem using methods and models such as:
  • Analytical Problem Solving
  • Creative and Design Thinking-Based Problem Solving Processes
  • Prioritisation Techniques
  • Validation and Testing

Duration and Format

• 2 virtual training sessions with 2 hours duration each (4 in total) via Microsoft Teams
• Participants receive the training materials with methods after the course
